Dr. Karen Krieger
Karen Krieger grew up around the medical field, with both parents being physicians. She enjoyed working with animals and talking to people, so a veterinary career was the perfect combination of all aspects!
Dr. Krieger grew up in Milford and still lives there. She is still a very proud “Milford High School Redskin”. After completing the veterinary program at Michigan State University, she worked in several hospitals in southeast Michigan before moving back to Milford to work at the newly-built Healthy Pet Hospital, where she’s worked since its opening.
Preventative health care, including nutritional advice, is a particular passion of Dr. Krieger’s. Challenging and unusual cases are gladly met. She is also very sympathetic and compassionate when it comes to hospice-type care.
At home, Karen has many pets, including dogs, lots of cats, many horses, chickens, ducks, rabbits, and guinea pigs! When time allows, she enjoys gardening and cross-country skiing. She also enjoys riding and training her horses and breeding and showing her chickens.
