Sarah Lazar

Office Manager

As a child, Sarah couldn’t wait to visit her aunt’s house on the weekends. Her aunt had a passion for animals, she rescued several animals from abusive situations such as birds, dogs, cats, rats, hamsters, ferrets, iguanas, and fish. As Sarah got older, her love and need to help animals never changed. Now she cares for pets every day as the Office Manager at Healthy Pet Veterinary Hospital in Milford!

Sarah grew up in Milford. After studying for a Radiology degree at Wayne State University, she transferred to Michigan State University to receive her Bachelor’s in Zoology with concentrations in Neurobiology and Animal Behavior. After graduation, Sarah joined the caring team at Healthy Pet in her hometown and has worked here for the last six years.

Sarah lives in Howell with her husband, their dog Mortimer, and two cats; Gracie and George. When time allows, Sarah enjoys scrapbooking, watching horror movies, and traveling as much as possible. She’s been to the island of Tahiti and Moorea, Europe, Cancun, Costa Rica, and all over the United States!

Natalie Roberts

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Natalie’s passion growing up was taking care of animals. She grew up with pets ranging from dogs to frogs to hermit crabs, and even got to help take care of animals at a nature center as a kid. It wasn’t hard for her to realize a career in animal care was right for her!

Natalie grew up in Michigan with her parents and sister. She learned American Sign Language growing up since her sister is deaf, and likes continuing to learn to communicate with Deaf people. She attended Oakland Community College after high school, and graduated from Macomb Community College in 2011 with an Associate’s in General Studies and Associate’s of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. Shortly afterwards she was hired by Dr. Kavanagh, and now works at  Healthy Pet Veterinary Hospital as a Licensed Veterinary Technician.

As a Technician, Natalie enjoys client education, hematology, parasitology, pharmacology, rodent medicine, and dentistry. She has a special interest in exotic medicine, thanks to her own 40-year-old Reeves turtle, Speedy! She takes time to attend seminars to expand and continue her education, and is a member of National Association of Veterinary Technicians, and Michigan Association Veterinary Technicians.

At home, Natalie lives with her boyfriend Jamie, her turtle Speedy, and her rambunctious Boston Terrier mix Lily. She plays violin in her spare time, and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
